Beverley Market - Saturday 25th May 2019
FABULOUS DAY OUT!
Lots of sunshine, smiles and fun. Enjoyed by everyone.
The Minister was majestic and the market a real treat. One of the market stalls selling garden products was very popular - so much so the stall holder kindly donated some items for our next raffle. To that kind lady we say thank you, you are a credit to Beverly Market.
In the afternoon we moved on to Brigg Garden Centre. A huge place where not just plants but food and drinks were pounced on and enjoyed. One of our members, in her capacity as "Official Cheesecake Taster" declared "In my vast experience it's the best cheesecake I've ever tasted". She will be returning.
Visiting Beverley's beautiful Saturday Market
Beverley’s famous market dates back centuries and is a vital part of community life. It is held in the town centre, on Saturdays and attracts thousands of shoppers every week.
The busy market has a friendly atmosphere and a vibrant mix of more than 120 stalls, selling food from around the world, fruit and vegetables, freshly baked goods, arts and crafts, and clothing.
After the market it's back on the coach for a visit to Brigg Garden Centre. Whether you are a gardener or just enjoy sitting in a garden, you will love this!

So much to see. So much to do!
Delve into the city's vibrant café culture, take time out to enjoy some of the country's most talented street entertainers or simply watch the world go by while sipping a drink by the river.
Or wander down Stonegate, do a bit of shopping. Pop into the Minster and marvel at the medieval architecture. And the Jorvik Viking Centre has just been revamped.
Fancy a bit of nostalgia? The National Railway Museum brings the Steam Railway era to life. (The "Mallard" steam locomotive is stunning.)
